The TAMIU Fixed Tuition and Fees Plan

What does this mean for me as a TAMIU student?

Texas A&M International University believes students and their families should know the cost of obtaining a degree up front and be able to rely on that cost not increasing if the student commits to graduating on time. With the introduction of fixed tuition and fees, Texas-resident, undergraduate students can count on a consistent rate while enrolled.

Tuition and fees are fixed for 4 years for most majors (12 consecutive semesters). Students with majors that have more than 120 hours may request an additional semester through the appeals process. Please note the time period for fixed tuition and fees is a continuous clock regardless of whether the student maintains continuous enrollment. Additionally, all summer terms count as 1 of the 12 consecutive semesters, so each calendar year has 3 consecutive semesters (spring, summer and fall).

Will students at TAMIU opt into the fixed tuition and fees?

No, all Texas-resident, undergraduate students will be placed on a fixed tuition and fee plan automatically.
